I believe psychotherapy offers an opportunity for growth and change. My goal is to work collaboratively with my clients to support them in identifying their core values in life and then identifying goals to help them create a life that is rich and meaningful. I work primarily with older adolescents and adults in individual therapy. I have expertise in treating depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD/ADD) and trauma/PTSD. I also provide neuropsychological testing and psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults to assist in the diagnosis of ADHD, learning disabilities, academic problems, and emotional problems. My training as a school psychologist allows me to work with teachers and schools to best address the learning needs of each individual student. I also have a postdoctoral degree in clinical psychopharmacology along with extensive experience collaborating with psychiatrists and other prescribing professionals. Should there be a need for medication, I can provide input on choosing a medication regimen along with appropriate referrals. I also have extensive experience working LGBTQ individuals.
My office is conveniently located in the Castro neighborhood and is close to the Castro Muni station as well as several bus lines. I offer an initial phone consultation at no charge and I have some sliding scale slots available for clients with financial difficulties.
